Talk about a real Bozo. Police are looking for a clown who destroyed a gas station in New York state early Wednesday morning. Authorities say the suspect is female, has a pale white face, orange hair and a very large red nose. Yes, the suspect we are describing was dressed as a clown. This story might not be suitable for those who suffer from coulrophobia.
New York State Police said the theft took place Wednesday morning at a Circle K gas station in Verona. The soldiers say the suspect approached the counter and brandished a gun, before running away with an unknown amount of money during the robbery. Officials also pointed out that the clown was all black and was around 5 feet tall. No word if authorities have checked one of the city’s local sewer drains for red balloons or any other clue.
Criminals can sometimes get quite creative with their disguises. At the end of 2015, a man disguised as Darth Vader robbed a convenience store in Tonawanda. Then you had this more indecisive thief, who was dressed as both Batman and Captain America when he stole beer from a store in Salamanca in 2016. Or, how about the guy dressed as a wolf- Were who robbed a living room in Rockland County? A little closer to home was this Dunkin ‘Donuts in Washingtonville that was robbed by “Iron Man” in early 2016.
However, one of the strangest events of all time came from a 2007 New Hampshire bank robbery. Business Insider said a man entered the bank disguised as a tree. Yeah, it really happened.
