Canadian company acquires Fuller Industries

LASALLE, Quebec – GDI Integrated Facility Services Inc., based in LASALLE, Que., On Thursday announced two acquisitions by its operating subsidiaries in September, including Fuller Industries of Great Bend.

On Wednesday, the Superior Solutions LP subsidiary in Toronto, Ontario completed the acquisition of certain assets of Fuller Industries LLC. via a newly formed American subsidiary. The Fuller transaction represents the first acquisition in the US market of GDI’s home care manufacturing and distribution business.

According to a statement from GDI, Fuller operates a 585,000 square foot chemical manufacturing and cleaning plant west of Great Bend with significant excess manufacturing capacity and will help support Superior’s growth in the US market. “Fuller manufactures a full line of cleaning chemicals as well as a line of cleaning products such as sprays, plastic containers, brooms and brushes for the commercial and industrial markets.”

This followed the continued expansion of GDI Ainsworth Inc.’s subsidiary, also of Toronto, into the US market with the acquisition of Enginuity LLC. The Enginuity transaction follows the first US acquisition of The BPAC Group Inc. by Ainsworth in January.

The combined pro forma annual revenue generated by the Enginuity and Fuller businesses in their last 12 month periods was approximately $ 60 million.

“We are very excited about these two partnerships,” said Claude Bigras, President and CEO of GDI. “Enginuity is a very well managed company with a strong culture that is perfectly aligned with ours, and it is a strong strategic fit as it operates within the existing geographic footprint of GDI Janitorial USA. Joining forces with Fuller provides us with a large manufacturing platform at the geographic center of the US market and a significant amount of excess capacity to support future growth.

“In addition, we believe that having the ability to offer American customers an offering of products made in America will allow Superior to accelerate its penetration of the American market. I would like to welcome the Enginuity and Fuller team members to the GDI family and let them know that we look forward to generating growth and prosperity together.
